Régistre de la paroisse de Beaubassin 1712-1748 NewRégistre de la paroisse de Beaubassin Situé en Nouvelle-France, le village de Beaubassin, composé de 2 800 habitants, est incendié en 1750 à l’arrivée des troupes anglaises. Le registre est sauvé de la destruction par les Acadiens fugitifs qui l'emportent avec eux à Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. Puis en 1778, il est transporté à La Rochelle.
