  Notes	Note that Philomene Marquis cannot be the daughter of Joseph Marquis and Marie Metaille Albert, who married Antoine Gagnon on 17 Feb 1868 at Ste Luce, Frenchville, Aroostook, Maine. The Mariages de Frenchville (Sainte Luce) 1843-1970, the Dictionnaire Genealogique du Madawaska, and the Voskuhl's CD appear to all be incorrect. The microfilm of the original Ste Luce parish register does not show who Philomene's parents were. According to Murielle Nadeau-Deschaine and Jean-Guy Poitras, Philomene was born in 1834 in St-André, Kamouraska, the daughter of Firmin Marquis and Thècle Levasseur.
