      See also the Virtual Wall page of David Lee Brodeur which includes a list of the soldiers who died on 5 Dec 1965 during Operation Bushmaster II, at the Battle of Ap Nha Mat where the US units killed 301 VC, captured many weapons, and destroyed a main camp... but there were 38 dead and 3 MIA from the 2/2 Infantry, and a Forward Observer from A/2/33 Arty also was killed in action. Patrick was with A Co, 2nd Bn, 2nd Infantry Regiment of the 1st Infantry Division.
